### Request offers

A sales agent for an organization that uses the U.S. Bank Alliance Partner program is talking to a customer about a banking product. Using the company’s customer service system, the agent views product offers that exist for the customer. The Alliance Offers API returns a set of offers for the agent to present to the customer.

After reviewing the offers, the customer decides they would like to apply for a product. Using the customer service system in conjunction with the [Alliance Invitation to Apply API](/products/alliance-offers/v2/API-reference), the Agent requests and conveys a unique invitation to apply that can be redeemed by text, email or QR code.

### Prescreened offers

A customer receives an email with an offer for which they have been prescreened. They’ve received this offer because of a qualifying event or a conversation with an agent. In some cases, the partner can create prescreened offer awareness to the agent who may use the offer as an opportunity to engage the customer.

When the customer decides they would like to apply for the product, the agent uses the customer service system, in conjunction with the [Alliance Invitation to Apply API](/products/alliance-offers/v2/API-reference), to convey a unique invitation to apply that can be redeemed by text, email or QR code.
